Narrative
The Smith family just moved into their new house in Connecticut and wanted their home to be remodeled to their tastes. They’re a family of prestigious lawyers, with both their sons who are into sailing from journeys on their father’s boat. Their favorite thing about sailing is seeing the lighthouse at each place. With the remodeling, they wanted to make their family house their own, with elements of lighthouses around. The living room will represent the lighthouse representing guidance and support through challenges just like a boat heading towards a lighthouse in the storm. The parents requested their master room, to include a master bathroom and a big walk-in closet. The two boys also want an exercise room for rowing for when they’re out on the boat. The father is requesting a remodel of the kitchen like they are out on the beach.

Exeter Library - Exeter, New Hampshire
Designed by Louis Khan, the Exeter is located in Philips Exeter Academy. Designed in 1971, it is the largest secondary school library in the world, containing 160,000 volumes and a shelf capacity of 250,000 volumes.
Here you can see how the light from the celling is coming in from the outside and bringing in the natural light from all sides of the sky. The light comes in hitting the giant X at the top brining the light slowly inside the rest of the building. There is also the addition of artificial lighting too, to light up the books, but you can see how the natural light highlights the main entry way.
In this ophoto you can see how the light is beuing brought dopwn to show light onto the concretre. A light color that can softly reflect the natural ligh ot the bottom of the building.
